PKKMB UMJ 2023 Officially Opened

 An introduction to campus life for new students  (PKKMB UMJ) entitled "Building Critical Reasoning to Create a Progressive Generation" was officially opened at the UMJ Football Stadium, Cireundeu, South Tangerang, Monday (18/9/23). 

The opening procession began with the performance of the Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Ki Bagus Hadi Kusumo marching band which welcomed the arrival of new UMJ students from 10 faculties, at Campus A (Cirendeu) and Campus B (Cempaka Putih).

 gave the first speech in front of more than 4000 new students with motivation from his experience as a student. “If you want to become entrepreneurs, your status as students will not be hindered. My advice, decide what you want to be here. If so, persist in what you have chosen. Look for mentors, look for experience. "In fact, trials, challenges and tests will come and those are all things that will make our level rise," said Zulkifli.

Zulkifli also shared tips for success that he has lived. One of them is fasting Monday-Thursday. According to him, achieving success requires mental and physical toughness. Zulkifli also provides a scholarship of Rp. 300,000,000 which was symbolically received by new students, Muhammad Sofyan, a FISIP student and Adinda Salsabila from the Faculty of Economics and Business.

The Student Activity Unit (UKM) performance parade added to the excitement of the opening of the UMJ PKKMB 2023. It started with a pencak silat performance by two UMJ students, Yazid Hanif Kurniawan, an Indonesian athlete who won a gold medal in the Men's Duo Group Performance Kun Bokator sport and Alfadhila Ramadhan, a Men's Bokator silver medal. The parade continued with performances from UKM Tapak Suci, Rennaisance , Hizbul Wathan UMJ, Football Association (PS UMJ), Foreign Language Community (FLC UMJ), Student Regiment (MENWA UMJ), Attanwir Campus Da'wah Unit (UDK), STACIA Nature Lover Students UMJ, Nature Lover Students (MAPENA), and Student Protocol Corps (KPM UMJ).

On the same occasion, UMJ Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ma'mun Murod, M.Si said that students are required to be different, because being different is a natural thing. “Young brothers and sisters are now students, the title is no longer students. The mindset when you are a student certainly has to be different when you are a student. "Young students' thoughts should not be the same," concluded the Chancellor in front of around 4,000 new UMJ students.

Ma'mun further advised all students to become productive students by participating in various activities at the University. “Don't be a butterfly student, that's the mentality of students, not students. College students are the highest students. "Take part in all activities on campus," emphasized Ma'mun.

PKKMB UMJ 2023, was officially opened with the presentation of UMJ alma mater jackets to new student representatives. The Chancellor and his staff were accompanied by Member of Commission

PKKMB UMJ 2023 was also attended by Mulhadi HM, SH, MH, representatives of Region III Higher Education Service Institutions (LLDIKTI Region III, faculty leaders, Heads of institutions, Heads of Bureaus, Heads of Offices, Heads of Alumni Associations, student organizations, invited guests, and the entire community academics in the UMJ environment.
