Edamame plants or Japanese soybeans are a type of food plant that can be grown in narrow yards without the need for a large amount of money, but still has a very high economic value. Within 60 days, edamame is ready to be harvested. The media used to grow edamame is quite simple. By using soil or organic waste that is around, it can then be processed into compost as a planting medium.
Other types of tabulampot that are easy to grow in the yard include lime, chili, eggplant, lettuce, tomatoes and others.
In addition to the types of food plants that can be planted in the yard of the house. Sularno said that ornamental plants are a part of urban farming which is used around the yard. In addition to maintaining the environmental ecosystem, even the use of minimalist pots for ornamental plants can add to the aesthetic value of the home yard.
Accompanied by regular and good maintenance, Sularno also explained some tips on caring for plants. Each plant certainly has its own criteria, there are plants that require a lot of water, there are also plants that require sufficient water. With the use of sufficient fertilizer and regular watering, the plants will not experience a problem.
"Changes in the appearance of plants can be seen through the media. If the media used is solid, then you can add fertilizer or change the media," said Sularno.
Sularno further said that plants are like humans who need nutrition. "Plants with a lack of water will wither, on the other hand, if the plant has enough nutrients, the plant will grow well," explained Sularno.
Concluding the conversation, Sularno explained that an effective way to eradicate pests against plants is by using crushed shallots, then mixing them with water and then spraying them on the leaves of the plants.
