Mahasiswa FKM UMJ Jadi Delegasi Konferensi Internasional MUKISI
Students , University of Jakarta (FKM ) became delegates at the 5th IHEX International Islamic Healthcare Conference 2023, 25-27 August 2023, at Nusantara Hall ICE BSD. As many as eleven students became delegates at the official invitation of the Indonesian Islamic Health Effort Council ( ).
This conference is part of an effort to revive the sharia health ecosystem and health services for people in Indonesia. The 5th IHEX raised a different theme from the previous year, namely Islamic Finance & Sharia Hospital Chain , continuing the previous issue regarding the revival of the sharia health ecosystem.
Indonesian Vice President Prof. Dr. (HC) KH Ma'aruf Amin., through a video conference delivered a keynote speech related to health services in accordance with Islamic principles needed by Muslims in Indonesia.
"The government continues to encourage the development of the sharia health industry in Indonesia. This development does not only cover sharia hospitals but also sharia health service ecosystems, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, halal food and beverages," said Ma'ruf Amin.
According to him, in the future there will be stages that can be carried out by the government and policy makers. First, socialization and education. Second, encouragement to increase public literacy and awareness about sharia health services. Third, expanding collaboration with stakeholders to further strengthen the national sharia health ecosystem.
Chief Executive of the 5th IHEX dr. Yahmin Setiawan hopes that the activities of IHEX and MUKISI can socialize Sharia Hospitals to all provinces in Indonesia so that the tagline 'Revive Sharia Hospitals in Indonesia' can be properly realized.
The series of conference events also held international seminars which consisted of several sessions, namely Islamic Finance in Business Perspective, Islamic Finance in Social Perspective and Islamic Finance Management in Hospital in Business Perspective.
All FKM UMJ students who were delegates participated in 7 workshop titles which were held in different places and with different speakers. All students enthusiastically took part in the series of conferences which also held 500 booth health exhibitions from various partners, namely hospitals, health education institutions, to companies and distributors of goods and halal food.
One of the FKM UMJ students, Mutiara Mauliza Simblon, revealed that the event raised her awareness of the urgency of harmony between sharia values and public health practices.
“Medical personnel as the front line ensure that health services are based on religious ethics and high standards of professionalism. Through this seminar, we can increase knowledge, learn, innovate in the health sector and become a place of inspiration for us because it is in line with our major," said Mutiara.
IHEX is a friendly gathering event for all MUKISI members from hospitals, educational institutions, clinics and medical laboratories so that they can share and strengthen one another over various challenges.
At the fifth 5th International Islamic Healthcare Conference and Expo (IHEX) 2023, there were around 50 health exhibition booths involving various partners, including hospitals, health education institutions, to companies and distributors of goods and halal food.
Conference participants are medical staff, practitioners, academics, and students. Also present was the Chairman of the Indonesian Islamic Health Effort Council (MUKISI) dr. Masyhudi AM, M.Kes., President of the Federation of Islamic Medical Associations (FIMA) and Prof. Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman.
