Public Administration Study Program Holds Visiting Lecture with the theme of E-Government

 The Study Program of Public Administration and Master of Public Administration, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta held a Visiting Lecturerwith the theme ' E-Government Practices In India '. The activity was carried out offline at the Kasman Singodimedjo Auditorium FISIP UMJ, Thursday (08/06/2023).

Presenting Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADPYU) and Prof. Khushali OzaIndia as a speaker to provide perspective regarding the implementation of E-Government in India and guided by moderator Dini Gandini Purbaningrum, S.IP., MA. The Visiting Lecturer event was also attended by the Head of the Master of Administrative Science Dr. Izzatusholekha, S.Sos., M.Sc., and Head of Public Administration Study Program Nida Handayani, S.IP., M.Sc.

Khushali Oza explained that good governance is characterized by good governance by listening to the needs of the community, and providing solutions to problems that exist in society.

Not only that, the use of ICT systems and services in e-government can be a solution in realizing efficient and effective governance. E-government involves several stakeholders from government, business sector, and society.

Meanwhile, Khushali Oza also conveyed the practice of e-government in India which has a program with an application called "Suwidha". This application is used as a media for complaints from Indian society against public services provided by the government.

Public complaints must be resolved within 24 hours of reporting. This program is considered to have been successfully implemented in India. Khushali Oza added that 65% of e-governmentprojects have been completed and successful.

Although they still face obstacles in remote rural areas caused by inadequate infrastructure and people accustomed to using technology. The e-government system has a strategic step in encouraging the transformation of public services.

Through the implementation of sophisticated information and communication technology, the implementation of e-government is a form of effort to provide easier, transparent and efficient access to the public.

Attended by more than 100 people, both academics and Public Administration students. The enthusiasm of the participants in the question and answer session at the Visiting Lecture could be seen as a forum for academics and students to increase knowledge and build international relations between Muhammadiyah University Jakarta and Ajeenkya DY Patil University, India.
